One Click Payment // My AT&T
iOS • Android • Responsive • AT&T User Interface
Project Goal
The goal of this feature - one of the many within the My AT&T app interface - was to provide the end user the option of one click payment to pay his monthly bill.
The instant swipe was designed to save the user the time and the hassle of clicking through many screens and typing in the credentials time and again. Our goal was to design the shortest, most efficient and pleasant way to complete the task.
The project was completed in two phases.
User Segmentation
It was a mix of technographic segmentation (based on preferred technologies, software, and mobile devices), and behavioral segmentation (based on actions or inactions, spending/consumption habits, feature use, session frequency, browsing history, average order value, etc.)
We also had to be sensitive to the geographic location of the user - for instance, we could invite customers in New York City to a grand opening of a new ATT store or offer a special deal to only customers in San Diego. Same thing when it comes to internet coverage, reception issues and local outages that need to be reported, notified and been taken care of.
My Contribution
For this project I created wireframes, defined flows, designed the UX & UI. I worked shoulder to shoulder with the Dev team, reviewing and tweaking the final screens as we go.
The design was based on AT&T global guidelines and brand library.
Main Challenges
When I joined the Payment Feature team, the back end of the original payment flow was already completed and my task was to build an easy to use interface around it. I used the same elements and UX principles, in order not to overwhelm the user and to maintain his sense of security and confidence in the app.
It was a real challenge based on the fact that we are dealing with users' most sensitive issues - their money and their privacy. Therefore every step and screen had to be carefully examined and tested.

Main navigation and flow
After we defined the main flow, it was time to step back and see how it all fits into the big picture. The navigation was designed so that all the main steps are easily accessible as tabs on a single screen.
